Objective
Build Australia’s largest used-car buyer email database by offering free PPSR before competitors touch the user.
This workflow was more than a lookup tool. It was designed as a near-zero CAC acquisition engine: offer PPSR free, capture buyer email and phone, verify access, and create the top-of-funnel data layer for downstream Cars24 trust products.
Build Australia’s largest used-car buyer email database by offering free PPSR before competitors touch the user.
Two in three used-car buyers run no check before purchase. Free PPSR becomes the wedge into trust, retargeting, and deeper report upsells.
Service-history upsell, Cars24 retail retargeting, internal data systems, and a reusable buyer-intent database.
Collect email and phone, verify via OTP, and enforce controlled access so the free report also becomes a structured user-intent record.
Reuse stored PPSR results before hitting the external API again. This keeps the system cheaper and faster over time.
If the VIN has no usable cached result, request a fresh check from the government-backed PPSR flow.
Save the report, enforce daily limits, and keep building a compounding buyer-intent and vehicle-check dataset.
| Metric | Value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Total PPSR events / month | 600,000 | Large category demand already exists. |
| Addressable premium pool | 400,000 / mo | Pre-purchase, dealer, and finance use cases. |
| Cars24 capture @ 10% | 15,000 / mo | Conservative email capture case. |
| Upside @ 15% | 22,500 / mo | Higher capture scenario from the brief. |
| PPSR hard cost | ~$22.5K / mo | Main variable cost in the model. |
The next version can show the actual OTP, cache-first lookup, PPSR call, and report-save flow at /ai-automation/free-ppsr-workflow/demo.
